Judds Hill winery, located in Napa, California, made the wine for this lively gif photographed where the grapes to make it are growing.

Judd’s Hill is known for making fruity Cabernet Sauvignon wines that are designed to pair well with food. The winery also has a microcrush program. The microcrush program has been popular over many decades. It allows aspiring vintners to develop and bottle small batches of wine.
Here is the wall of microcrush wine bottles that represent all of the wines that were made in the program! It is utterly fascinating to read all of the labels and imagine what each one must have tasted like.

Here are the first wines created by the founder that helped him launch the operation in the 1970s.

And the grandchildren created a wonderful batch of microcrush wine called, “Be Kind.” It is inspiring to see children who want to do the right thing and spread such wonderful messages with their creations!

One of our first on-location shoots was designed to show the new outdoor tasting patio and the microcrush process. Check out the view! Here are a few up and coming wine stars who participated in our shoot. They are tasting and mixing many kinds of red wine produced by Judd Hill to create their own blend.

The founder of the winery produced the art that goes on many of the Cabernet Sauvignon bottles. His son, Judd, was educated at UC Davis’s famous wine program.

I am working with Liz Mercer, the marketing director, to create a rich asset library of visual imagery to tell the story and mission of Judd’s Hill. The images will be used across many marketing channels from trade catalogs to websites, social media, their website, and many marketing pieces.
One of the most fun highlights about working on a wine story is that there are so many great subjects! Beautiful wine bottles, a founder’s story, art and sculptures, winemakers, food paired with a fruity wine that was developed for that purpose, agriculture, harvest, microcrushes, and outdoor tasting patios are just a few. Here are just a few from summer. Enjoy!
