I’m honored to share that my fine art photograph Desert Time has been selected for inclusion in the Communication Arts 67th Photo Annual, publishing in Summer 2026. Recognition from Communication Arts Photography Annual is highly respected within the photography industry, creative agencies, advertising agencies, publishers, and visual arts communities, making this an especially meaningful milestone for me.

Being featured in the Communication Arts Photo Annual is a significant achievement. Over the years, I’ve entered numerous images into this prestigious competition, and previously had one series selected in 2020 for my Painted Chickens series. To now return with Desert Time is deeply rewarding.

This year, I submitted two works: Desert Time and Surf Sharks. Earlier this month, I was thrilled to learn that both photographs advanced to the final shortlist of more than 300 images under consideration. Reaching the shortlist has happened for me before, but advancing beyond it has been rare—making this year’s final recognition especially exciting.

Out of more than 1,500 entries submitted worldwide, only 110 photographs were selected as winners, placing Desert Time among an exclusive group of award-winning images created by exceptional photographers, digital artists, and visual storytellers from around the world.

I’m grateful to the judges for recognizing something special in this image and for including it among such inspiring work. I’m also looking forward to seeing the other winning selections across the ten competition categories.

The Communication Arts 2026 Photo Annual will be distributed internationally through art stores, bookstores, newsstands, Amazon, and direct distribution through CommunicationArts.com, bringing these award-winning photography projects to a global audience.

About Desert Time

Desert Time is a conceptual fine art landscape photograph that explores the passage of time through a single desert scene. The image blends warm sunrise light with the cool tones of night beneath the Milky Way, creating a surreal visual narrative that merges multiple moments into one final composition.

For photography collectors, advertising agencies, creative directors, hospitality designers, and brands seeking award-winning fine art photography, Desert Time represents the power of storytelling through landscape imagery and digital artistry.
