One of very first food shoots came compliments of Photo Editor and creative @tobykauf . Toby and I had a longstanding work relationship and friendship from our time at Dennis Publishing, Penthouse, American Media and later Shape Magazine. Trust is a huge factor between a photographer and client… and at times can lead to shoots not ordinarily in your wheelhouse. She called me one day for a food project and when I said I didn’t have a lot of examples to show her, she simply said, “Oh, you can do it.” One food shoot led to another and now I guess you could say I’m well seasoned.
