2020 has been a wild ride with COVID-19 taking a global front seat and causing the world to quarantine in an effort to stay healthy and safe, to slow the flow of viral spreading. With quarantining and all the restrictions that have come with trying to get back to a new normal of living. Work, video and photoshoot opportunities have been spares. So I am grateful to end this rollercoaster of a year on a high note and to be selected for the second year in a row by Lürzer’s Archive as a 200 Best Digital Artist Worldwide for 21/22.

My snow owl, from the #BringBirdsBack campaign which I retouched for the National Audubon Society, received the recognition. This was such a fun project to work on with a great agency and director to bring this message of making a difference and to help turn the statistic around that 1-in-3 birds are disappearing. The campaign was both a digital and print campaign. The digital version of the campaign was promoted online through social media campaigns using animated graphics of birds disintegrating and disappearing and then reforming.

Picture of a Snow Owl taken by Grant Eldridge and then edited to create a dispersion effect which animates the bird and message for the advertising campaign.

The pictures of the birds came from the archives of the National Audubon Society and submissions from their annual photo competition.
