HELLO ARGENTINA!!!
In keeping with my recent blog posts about shooting personal work (and since much of our new client work hasn’t hit the open market yet so can’t be shown) I wanted to do a post on my favorite of all locations for personal shooting, Argentina!
My Spanish abilities are about equivalent to a native 2nd grader but that hasn’t ever made things too difficult to get around. I’ll let it be known right now, I am not an impartial judge when it comes to the country, I just love it there and the people and the landscapes are amazing, as is the steak and wine (epic actually). I’ve been lucky enough to have gone down on three separate occasions for personal shooting as well as other times for projects and it always works out incredibly well. We come back with a big basket full of new pictures and new friends.
What I love best about my personal shoots in Argentina is that while I never know exactly what I’m going to end up with in the end I do always know that it will be surprising, great fun, and there will be many new images I love. While it’s definitely a generalization, Argentinians are some of the friendliest, warmest people I’ve ever met and their friendship flows as easily as the Malbec.
I love exploring the world, and being a photographer is like an open passport for that, but Argentina always will have a warm spot in my heart. Above are a few images from my trip earlier this year….Go south young man (and woman)!!!
