Last month, we kept seeing Brian Kelly‘s portraits of comedians popping up all over our news feed and we couldn’t help but take notice.
The event? Gilda’s LaughFest. The nation’s first-ever community-wide festival of laughter.
This major 10- day Midwest festival is based in Grand Rapids and includes events throughout West Michigan. Created by Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and launched in March 2011 to celebrate laughter for the health of it, the festival features stand-up, improv, film, authors, community showcases, and a variety of seriously funny stuff.
Brian spent the festival photographing the funny people that were making the magic happen! He did a fantastic job capturing the different personalities of the various comedians, as well as creating some very visually appealing photos.
