Concept :: Renowned ad agency Cramer-Krasselt came to AtEdge looking for a photographer for a campaign and asset library highlighting the national Alzheimer’s Association’s respite care services. After a competitive bidding and treatment process, Adam won the job. Respite care lets caregivers rest, recharge, or attend to everyday life. Trusting someone new to care for a loved one can be difficult. So the imagery focuses on the patient experience after the handoff.

We had to be on the second floor. Couldn’t afford a scissor lift to elevate light high enough above the sceond floor windows, so team had to get creative

Solution ::

I like to shoot with continuous light, using available daylight whenever I can and bringing in practicals if they make sense. It can take a little longer to get everything set up, but once we’re rolling, it’s actually much more efficient because I’m not interrupting the talent with flashes popping every few seconds.

I also shoot on a fast camera using a silent electronic shutter, so people can stay completely immersed in the moment. They’re not constantly being reminded there’s a camera in front of them, which helps keep everything feeling natural and authentic.
