4th of July rodeo in Lincoln, Montana, 2020. This small town rodeo is the highlight of the summer for this mountain community, but with local health officials cancelling it a few weeks beforehand it didn’t look like it would happen until pushback from the community made the county official reverse course. With not a mask in sight, it was hard to tell that anything unusual like a pandemic was going on. People looked so happy to be outside enjoying a summer tradition that has gone on for generations, and it was nice to be part of something that felt normal for a change. Shot for a @tatlermagazine and @tatlerhongkong story about traveling across America in an RV during the summer of 2020.
