Zachary Scott Creates ‘Old Babies’ for The New York Times Magazine

What if age is nothing but a mind-set? This is the question that The New York Times Magazine Photo Editor Joanna Milter contacted AtEdge photographer Zachary Scott about illustrating for an article regarding the work of Harvard psychologist Ellen Langer.

For the project, Zach and a team of creatives took six babies and turned them into senior citizens with props and backdrops that tied into each character.

Hair and makeup were done by Bruce Spaulding Fuller, Aimee Macabeo and Stephanie Daniel. Wardobe by Gillean McLeod. Set and Props by Patrick Muller. Retouching by Electric Art and Amy Dresser.
