Doug Aitken’s 100 YRS show at 303 Gallery is truly an immersive experience. We suggest seeing it at night, and to say more than that would be taking away from the overall tone. If you can, sit on the ground in the main room, listen to the drips, and take it all in. Sure the Chelsea socialites might begin to look at you like you belong in Williamsburg with the other “dipsters”… but if you wait long enough they will start to join you because they think you know something they don’t… which you will. The show runs until March 21st. After that, the holes will be plastered, the rubble will be swept, and mini Bellagio lake will be drained so the gallery can return to its original form of a small white box.
