It seems hard to believe now but from 1912 to 1948 the Olympic Games included Art competitions.

Inspired by Pierre de Frédy, the winners were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals for works of art inspired by sports in a total of five categories: Architecture, Literature, Music, Painting, and Sculpture.
