With Phase One’s IQ250 digitalÂ back and the Schneider 150mm lens – a great combo though I really prefer the feel of the Hasselblad body with the same Phase back. Â Either way it’s definitely a more considered pace than shooting with 35mm. Â I have two medium format film kits – Pentax 6×7 and Rollei 6×6 â€“ it will be interesting to compare. Â From what I’ve been hearing the Leaf backs with the “Leaf Look” are close to my ideal – smooth and subtle tonal transitions. Â But playing with the smaller 33x44mm Sony sensor (50Megapixel CMOS, not CCD) feels pretty good. Â It’s not about pixel density it’s about color, tones, focus fall-off and workflow.
