When Steffen Schrägle was asked to shoot the campaign for Nissan‘s new sleek, sexy SVU, he knew just the place: Miami. We asked him to tell us a little about his experience, and found out about some of the (literal) roadblocks he ran into along the way.
Randy and Ruzanna from Roger Grey Produces prepared the whole production, and it was all set up to be perfect. But what we didn’t know was that Obama was coming to Miami for his election campaign, so in the middle of our shoot we lost locations, permits and so on. So we had to act very fast and sort all everything to get our shots. The highlight was definitely being on a crane in the middle of downtown Miami, with Jerome, the art director who suffers vertigo. 60 feet high in the air with storm warnings….I’m not sure if the crane was moving or the whole city.
Despite all the drama, the campaign turned out to be picture-perfect. You can see more from Steffen here.
