FlakPhoto Digest, one of the coolest sites around, is featuring Dave Anderson’s new SoLost video: The Beauty of a Broken Silo today.
The video highlights the work of architectural photographer Timothy Hursley who was so fascinated by a silo he spotted in Hale County, Alabama that he felt compelled to buy it from the owner.
What was so unique about this particular structure? The silo was artfully twisted by a violent tornado seven years ago. He has since captured its deterioration by photographing it over a million times through the lens of a surveillance camera that is set to shoot an image every 12 seconds.

His reasons for taking on this labor of love are as intriguing as the resulting work itself. Watch the video above and peek into the mind of this devoted and talented photographer.
