Rachael’s relaxation and beauty tips for sun and sea

Earlier this month hair + make-up artist Rachael Berkowitz snuck off on a much needed cruise to the Carribean with her husband Steve. We asked Rachael for a run-down of her vanity kit essentials that keep her protected from the sun and looking her best out on the pool deck.
Here, we’ve linked to the places to purchase! So, Get ready for summer or a last-minute winter vacation and look fabulous while protecting your skin.

For the face + body:

Dior Diorshow waterproof mascara

A great pair of sunglasses and a brimmed hat (nothing hurts more than burnt eye lids) Rachael’s fav’s: D+G oversized wrap around sunglasses and a good ole’ Sox baseball cap

Clarins, UV Plus Day Screen High Protection SPF 40, be sure to reapply throughout the day.

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer , It provides very light coverage with a nice finish.

Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15

Bobbi brown bronzing powder for your face and bronze shimmer brick for the body gives a sun kissed glow look without damaging your skin.

. . . . . and of course sun block for your body. Rachael’s naturally olive skin makes her comfortable with #15 waterproof sunblock by Coppertone. Steve, who tends to burn easily uses #50 waterproof also by Coppertone. Be sure to reapply even if it is waterproof as it will wear off during the course of the day.

As far as relaxing, while she’s quite the yogini at home; Rachael said relaxing on a cruise only entails a drink in one hand and deep breathing of the salt air.
