In the tragic aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, America’s eastern seaboard is still reeling. From New Jersey’s Seaside Heights to NYC’s Rockaway Beach, the battle of the beach rages onward. Coastal homes and communities have been doing all they can come together to rebuild.
Our own Beth Perkins, a founding member of her community’s Surf Club, is volunteering her time at the club’s de facto “distribution center” –even with her own home demolished, she is hopeful. Knee-deep in repairs, the Rockaway Beach Surf Club has already done a great deal to help those in need, but they need your help to continue! So, for this Thanksgiving, give a little time and money to the Eastern Americans who really need it, and be sure to be grateful for all you have.
