Gentleman, start your engines! Last December, the Red Bull Drift Shifters, an annual international drift competition, returned to Auckland, New Zealand. Lucky for us, John Huet was on hand to capture the madness of these cars making hairpin turns as they navigate the competition’s giant pinball-inspired track. With 10,000 fans cheering them on, the drivers rack up points by coming as close to the course obstacles as they can in what’s been deemed ‘the survival of the ballsiest.’ Gives a whole different meaning to the phrase “burn rubber”, doesn’t it?
Martijn Oort does it again! This time lending his talents to Mercedes-Benz, he captures the celebratory spirit of the 20th anniversary of its Sprinter van and the 2015 very limited “Edition Sprinter.” Blending landscape photography and CGI, Martijn delivers to the Mercedes-Benz ‘best or nothing’ tagline in this first in a series of stunning ads for the brand.
We’ve come to expect the unexpected from John Huet, but nothing’s surprised us more than these offbeat moments that he captured at the annual pre-prom gathering in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts. The images sent us on a trip down memory lane where we dug out photos from our own first prom and enjoyed more than a little comic relief. Ah, those know-it-all, awkward but confident teenage years!
We love the fact that Emily and Lauren exchanged wedding vows and celebrated their marriage at one of our favorite New York spots –Â Housing Works Bookstore Cafe. And of course, Jennifer Robbins brought her A Game (and her camera) to the spirited evening, capturing those special moments in a way that only she can. Congrats to the brides – we wish you many years of happiness together!
Inspired by the majesty of the Irish highlands, Claudia Goetzelmann took to the hills outside the Bay Area recently to shoot these beautiful layered pieces with the gorgeous and talented Audrey Bomar. With temps soaring into the triple digits this week, it may be awhile before anyone in the Bay Area is thinking ‘layers’, but then again, we all know what they say about Summer in San Francisco. . .
What does it look like to be a hardcore skater and a girl? The latest Playtex Sport campaign, shot by John Huet, features Aussie surfer and skateboarder Nikki-Rose Quinlan who threw down some gnarly tricks at this shoot in New Zealand. Nikki’s got the guts and willingness to leave a little skin on the cement, and she made it completely clear at the shoot that she’s more than capable of being a badass.
