The iconic fashion photographer, Bruce Weber exhibit, A Bellport Tale, at the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society in Long Island showcases his photography from the time he lived there in the 1970’s and 80’s.  He is the mentor of our own photographer, Bruce Hulse, who is featured as his subject here.   The New York Times review of the exhibit notes “…perhaps none is more evocative of a quiet life on the bay than that of a shirtless Hulse, sitting on the stern of a boat, cigarette in hand, wearing calf-revealing baggy trousers, rumpled socks and dress shoes.”  On display until September 3rd.
